The problem
A search-assistance robot needs to interpret uncertain observations and move through constrained environments without overstating what its sensors can detect.

The approach
Define representative test scenarios, study complementary sensing methods and develop perception and navigation modules for controlled ground-vehicle experiments.
An earlier system concept begins with LD2450 radar and considers camera, thermal sensing and navigation as complementary capabilities. Autonomous operation would need a defined environment, suitable sensing, dependable mobility and extensive controlled evaluation. A person-detection signal alone is not proof of a successful rescue capability.
