The problem
Uncontrolled impact experiments can mix specimen differences with variations in support, alignment and impact conditions, making comparisons unreliable.
02 / Engineering
The approach
Define the experimental protocol and contained fixture, establish repeatability with reference specimens, and select calibrated measurements appropriate to the comparison before testing composites.
A concept for comparing composite specimens under documented, repeatable drop conditions. The study would consider specimen support, impactor guidance, containment and measurement of motion or response. Comparative observations would be distinct from certified material properties or compliance testing.
